Vegan Chipotle Slider and Chicken Jalapeno Slider

Our Telera Slider Rolls delight everyone at the table. Try a vegan version, made with gooey cheese, plant-based meat, and a smoky chipotle aioli. Or make a slider-sized chicken smash burger with grilled jalapeno, onion, bacon and crispy shallots, which delivers a delicious flavor bomb… inside and out.

Ingredients

  • La Brea Bakery Telera Slider Rolls
  • Plant-based meat patty
  • Chipotle aioli
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Romaine lettuce
  • Ground chicken patty
  • Onion powder
  • Jalapeno pepper, sliced
  • Red onion, sliced very thin
  • Bacon, cooked
  • Lettuce
  • Melted butter
  • Crispy garlic and shallot mixture

Preparation

For the Chipotle Slider:

  1. Brush the inside of the roll with oil and grill on the flattop until the edges are golden.
  2. Cook patty according to manufacturer instructions. Just before fully cooked, add cheese, cover and steam to melt cheese. To build the slider, spread chipotle aioli on both sides of the roll. Add lettuce and patty, then top with roll.

 

For the Chicken Slider:

  1. Flavor patty with onion powder. Cook chicken patty in cast iron. Add sliced jalapeno and red onion on top and press into patty. Flip, press down and cook until desired doneness. Brush the inside of the roll with oil and grill on the flattop until the edges are golden. Brush outside of the top roll with melted butter and sprinkle it with crispy garlic and shallot mixture. Warm in the oven for 2 minutes.
  2. To build the slider, add lettuce and bacon to the bottom piece and then place the burger patty on top. Place the garlic shallot roll on top and serve warm.
