The Italian Melt

Classic Italian flavors combine with the unique texture and flavors of our Rosemary Olive Oil Loaf.

Ingredients
  • 1 La Brea Bakery Rosemary Olive Oil Loaf
  • 1 tablespoon softened butter
  • 1 tablespoon roasted red pepper spread
  • 4 slices smoked mozzarella cheese
  • 2 ounces prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 2 slices copa
  • 2 slices soppressata
  • 4 stalks roasted broccolini
Preparation
  1. Place a medium cast iron skillet or similar over medium-low heat and preheat the pan for 2 minutes while you assemble the sandwich.
  2. Butter each slice of bread on one side and lay the bread on cutting board butter side down. Spread red pepper spread on both slices.
  3. Place two slices of smoked mozzarella on each piece of bread, and add the mixed Italian meats and roasted broccolini.
  4. Top with the remaining bread slice
  5. Carefully transfer the sandwiches to the preheated pan and cook until bread is golden brown and cheese has melted, around 3 minutes per side. Serve warm.
