Nutella Strawberry French Toast Bake
  • 1 Italian Round Loaf

  • 4 large Eggs

  • 1 Tsp Vanilla extract

  • 2 cups half and half

  • 1 Tbsp Cinnamon

  • 1 Tsp Salt

  • 1 cup Nutella

  • 1 cup Ricotta cheese

  • 2 cups fresh Strawberries sliced

  • Fresh Mint


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

2. Slice Italian Round loaf in halt from top to bottom. Take one half and place the cut side down and cut into 1” slices.  Do the same with the other half. In a greased baking dish about 9x12, arrange the first layer of bread so each piece lays flat and most of the bottom of the dish is covered. Spread Nutella on each piece of bread.  Next spread Ricotta cheese on top of the Nutella and then add a layer of fresh strawberries.  Add another layer of bread and follow the same process, Nutella, Ricotta and strawberries.

3. Next, in a bowl mix eggs, vanilla extract, half and half and cinnamon.  Pour mixture over the bread, filling all the empty spaces in the dish until it is about 1” below the top of the dish.  Put in the oven and bake for 20 minutes or until the liquid has been absorbed and has thickened.  Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes. 

4. Cut and serve.
